International Camps

The International English language Prometheus Camps assemble young people from all over the world. About half of the participants will be from Finland and the other half will be from other countries or of international background.

• The camp fee in summer 2023 is 369 € which includes accommodation and full board. Transportation is not included.
  • People with financial challenges can get a 70 € discount from the camp fee. The discount can be granted for the unemployed, low-income workers, retirees, students, low-income single parents and people with a long-term illness. The discount can also be granted for people in other situations, in which their income can not cover the expenses.
• The enrolment for summer 2023 starts on March 7, 2023 at 10 am.
• The international camps are listed in the Finnish-language camp catalog pages where Finnish/Swedish speakers can enroll.
• There are separate quotas for non-Finnish speakers. Because of that, non-Finnish speakers use this English-language enrolment form to get enrolled.

The Prometheus necklace

The silvery Prometheus necklace is a lovely memory from the camp. The necklace can be bought from a person’s own camp with cash (costing 35 € in summer 2022) and is available only to those who have participated in a Prometheus camp. On the back of the necklace are engraved the camper’s name, the location of the camp and the date of the end ceremony.

Cancellation fees

• Cancellations done before the due date of the invoice, are not charged.
• A cancellation fee of 60 € is applied for cancellations up to four weeks before the camp start date.
• A cancellation fee of half of the camp fee is applied for cancellations made within four weeks, but no later than a week before the camp.
• If cancellation is made less than one week before the camp or the camp is canceled without notifying, the payment will not be refunded. An unpaid camp fee will be charged in full.
• In case of an illness, the cancellation fee is 60 €. The rest of the camp fee will be refunded against a medical certificate.
