Membership fees in 2025

  • individual member 39 € / low-income individual member 25 € / supporting individual member 52 €
  • family membership 58 € / 110 €
  • organisational member 205 € / supporting organisational member 305 €

Support membership is intended for those who wish to support Protu with more than the standard membership fee. Supporting members have the same rights as regular members.

Family membership is a good option when the whole family wants to support Protu! The membership covers those living in the same household. One person is the primary member (receives invoices and the Protu magazine) and the others are sub-members. Primary and sub-members have the same membership rights.

Organisational membership is intended for registered associations that share Protu’s values and wish to support Protu through their membership.

Member discounts in 2025

  • 39 € discount on Protu camps
  • 51 € discount on the autumn continuation camp
  • 36 € discount on the summer and winter continuation camps

More information

If you want to change your membership type (e.g. individual membership to supporting individual membership or family membership to individual membership) or resign from membership, submit a support request through the Helpdesk in the Protu Portal (choose “Jäsenasiat”) or send a message to protu@protu.fi.

A low-income individual member may, at their own discretion, pay the reduced membership fee of 25 €.

If you are a new member, select “Vähävaraisen vaihtoehto” (Low-income option) on the registration form.

If you are a current member, pay the membership invoice you received (39 €) with the same reference number but with the reduced amount (25 €).

If you are a new member, you can choose to join with a 3-month trial period and pay the first year’s membership fee only afterwards. In this case, do not pay directly by card or online banking via Paytrail — instead choose invoice as the payment method. After 3 months, you will receive the membership invoice (membership start date is the date you joined).

We want to ensure that no one is prevented from acting as an adult counsellor in Protu due to financial reasons. If you are applying to join a team as a counsellor and are entirely new to Protu, you can, if needed, request an exemption from paying the membership fee for the first year. Choose invoice as the payment method on the membership form, contact the office and request the exemption. However, we hope that as many as possible choose to support Protu with their membership fee when becoming counsellors. Note: if you as a guardian wish to use the possibility of pre-registering your dependent to a Protu camp, the membership fee must be paid.
