Two international English camps will be organized this summer: Oriniemi (Turku) 20.–27.7. and Oriniemi (Turku) 27.7.–3.8.

Enrollment for the international English camps opened on Wednesday 12.2. at 10 am.

We will open individual camp spots for international English camps that have become available due to cancellations on Monday 10.3. at 10 am.

We will open the queues for all camps on Monday 7.4. at 10 am (please note the change to the previous schedule: the opening of queue spots has been moved forward a week).

Enrollment

Please note: the enrollment form, additional information form and confirmation emails are unfortunately only in Finnish. If necessary, use online translation tools to translate the questions into English.

Enrollment for camps is done directly. One young person can only enroll for one camp. Camp spots are filled in the order of enrollment.

A participant under the age of 18 is enrolled for the camp by a guardian. Due to technical limitations of the system, only one dependent can be enrolled with the same email address.

Enrollment does not require logging in. You can enroll one camper using the enrollment form. The form asks for:

• Huoltajan etunimi (Guardian’s first name)
• Huoltajan sukunimi (Guardian’s last name)
• Huoltajan sähköpostiosoite (Guardian’s email address)
• Leiriläisen etunimi (Participant’s first name)
• Leiriläisen sukunimi (Participant’s last name)

The enrollment form will open if there are currently spaces available at the camp. However, accessing the form does not guarantee that you will receive a camp spot, as camps may be fully booked while the form is being filled out. If this happens, you will receive a notification after submitting the form that says “Tilaisuus on täynnä” (“The event is full”). However, if there are still places available at the camp, when you submit the enrollment form, you will receive a notification that “Tiedot on lähetetty ja saat vahvistuksen sähköpostiisi hetken kuluttua”(“Your information has been sent and you will receive a confirmation email shortly”).

Once the form has been successfully submitted, the camp place will automatically become valid immediately. After the reservation, a link to a separate survey will be sent to the guardian’s email within about 5 minutes, where all the camper’s participation information will be provided, and you have one week to send it.

There is no queue for the camps at the beginning. The queue for all camps opens on 31.3. You can sign up for the queue if you have not enrolled for any camp. If you have already enrolled for a camp, you must first cancel your camp spot in order to sign up for the queue.

You cannot cancel a camp or waiting place yourself. Cancellations must be made through the office by emailing protu@protu.fi.

In camp enrollments, we have a principle that the same person can only be enrolled or waiting for one camp. If you have already enrolled or are waiting for a camp, you must first cancel this camp or waiting place before enrolling or waiting for another camp. Note that the waiting list for the camps opens on March 31.

Due to the rapid filling of the camps and high demand, we cannot offer a direct exchange option between camps. If you want to change camps, you can cancel your camp place and enroll for another camp.

Camp fee

The camp fee is paid by invoice, direct online payment (by credit card or bank transfer) is not possible. Camp invoices will be sent later by email.

The camp fee is €429 for international English youth camps. Those in a financially disadvantaged position are eligible for a reduced camp fee.
